Hi Friends! Have you had an opportunity to check out our local Farmer's Market's this season? This is a great way not only to buy some yummy local produce, but also a chance to visit your local businesses, vendors and to meet new friends and visit with your neighbors. Farmer's Market's are about more than the produce. They are about bringing our community together and literally enjoying the fruits (& veggies) of our labor. I hope that you and your family will have a chance to visit your farmer's market. Make sure to click on the "Support Our Locals" tab on the top of my website and scroll to "Local Farmer's Markets" to find a listing of our Markets, dates, and times.

Send a Child to Nature Camp!

Posted by Your Community Mama at 10:36 PM 0 comments

Just one camp experience can positively change a child's life forever. Help kids grow, learn and flourish. Your gift makes it possible!  Please click here to make a contribution and to make this a memorable summer for a child.

Summer nature camp is a life-changing stepping stone on the road to adulthood. Camp offers a safe place to learn social, physical, and intellectual skills in a nurturing and fun environment.

Children are our future. Camp allows them to discover gifts they didn't know they had while celebrating diversity, tolerance and awareness about the world around them - both manmade and natural.

Nature allows children to be children, regardless of color, gender or socioeconomic circumstances. Getting "unplugged" at camp allows kids to discover the simple joys of being outdoors and getting physically active.

Placer Nature Center’s camp not only offers the camp benefits mentioned above, it also cultivates science and nature literacy. Our camps allow all children to discover the world around them while using the scientific method of investigation.

Children learn that they can be a scientist; exploring and learning everyday. Children gain the tools to really “see” the world around them. Our multi-generational format also supports social skills and respect between many different age groups.

Help open the door to camp for a child today: 100% of your donation to this fund goes to send a child to camp.

Just $29 covers one day of camp, and $161 covers one full week of camp and a camp t-shirt.  Let's send 25 kids to camp!
