Afternoon All.  There are so many important and fun events coming up that I honestly found myself a bit overwhelmed as where to start, so I decided to start with the events that begin tomorrow and through the weekend.  I hope that you and your family can enjoy these events and help to support the wonderful causes in our community.  Also, please check out the "Family Fun" Tab above and click on "Mark Your Calendar."  This will take you to a list of all the events month by month.  There is more going on this weekend then what I've shared here, so I hope you'll check it out.

2012 MUD-RUN 4-LIFE

The Waterlyn, Whalen & Aguilar Families would like to invite you to a MUD-RUN Event for Suicide Prevention.....We want the entire community involved and all the proceeds to stay here in LINCOLN. This event will address suicide prevention and will be a celebration of LIF...E. It will be fun, uplifting and we are in hopes of HELPING in any way we can, to not have other families suffer the agony we have had to endure. We would like to have local businesses represented at our event, students, families, everyone!!! We need volunteers. There will be booths for businesses, face painting, balloons, everything to Celebrate LIFE. EVERYONE finishes the Mud-RUN, no one is left behind, we all help each OTHER through crisis. LIFE gets muddy and ROUGH, we can do this TOGETHER!!!! WHO WILL JOIN US?????? THIS is a 5K (3.2 miles) you can WALK /RUN/CRAWL, you can even come as a spectator and cheer on the mudders!!! 11th Annual King of Feasts at the Sacramento Zoo

Saturday, June 23rd

6 to 9 pm 

It’s time for the eleventh annual King of Feasts at the Sacramento Zoo. Enjoy delicious food from Sacramento’s finest restaurants and food trucks. Also sample local beers, wines and premium spirits while celebrating with Sacramento’s most famous animals.


Tickets may be purchased in advance for $45 for Zoo members, $50 for non-members or $60 the day of the event. Adults only, please. Visit saczoo.org, or call 916-808-5888 to purchase tickets. Proceeds from this event benefit Zoo improvements, education programs and wildlife conservation.
